About the Author

Caroline was born in the German-speaking region of Belgium to two Flemish parents. She speaks four languages and holds a PhD in Engineering Technology.

From a young age, Caroline was a passionate reader and loved creating stories that brought joy to others. After she lost her mother at the age of twelve, she found it hard to blend in with her peers at school and often relied on writing fiction to cope with emotions.

She started writing her debut novel Crown and Scalpel when she was only sixteen years old, but the story wouldn’t take shape until many years later.

She currently still lives on her family’s farm in Belgium with her dad and aunt as well as their horse, ponies and corgis.
